The Great Outdoors

Despite the dreary weather we are having (flurries yesterday-say what?) or perhaps because of it, I can't help but dream of swaths of green, colorful blooms, outdoor rooms, frosty drinks on the porch, splashing feet in aqua waters, and even shady corners, pebbles underfoot, birds chirping in the afternoon sun. I lost myself there for a moment, now I just want to get lost in any one of these beautiful outdoor spaces.

Oh these photos are beautiful. I'm going to just stare at them until the sun come out... I just love the photo of the tree seen through the port o'cochere (sp?). Just lovely.

I don't eat tomatos, but loved the idea of putting the little clay pots on top of the bamboo poles. I'm always affraid I'd poke my eye out in those. :)

oh, honey, you just made my day with those...the faux bois, that fantastic rock wall, and the vine covered structures, love!

You made my day too. How do you do it? Find all these fab rooms (albeit outside rooms today) that go on and on and inspire every time. Phew.

I'm hoping it'll stop raining and snowing long enough for my marsh pit of a backyard to dry out so I can have a lovely space like these. But given recent history, that probably ain't gonna happen. Ever.
